Composition in metals and oil

The strong horizontal and lower vertivpcal lines are beautifully balanced by the circular elements. I also love the colour here. Fav

Was thinking about you when I was reading about the contemporary art design discussion - all of yours would make a wonderful modern art showing - this included.

this really is your genre Alison, all your abstract and macro work is exceptional. I think you can get another two pics out of this composition . If you do a horizontal split underneath the middle rectangle you get an lamost square abstract and a letterbox abstract . Such lovely tonal range and colours here too

Lovely abstract capture. Not my type of shots, I'm afraid.

Lovely abstract. Lots of shapes, tones, all flow on from one to another.

Phil is right. This is two photographs. The central 'silver' bar is too heavy with little to be of strong interest. You could crop it across the middle of that and have two images above and below. Although the composition of what is left is not that strong overall.
This is a difficult image to get into because there are so many plain surfaces. The graphic impact of the curves is lost a bit as a result of being flat on to a lot of the main object. The textural impact of the staining and pitting is too low of really hold the eye.
There is a lot to see, but it is not giving me a strong vibe. My eye is easily taken from this image.
