Little rock by dulciknit

Little rock

A piece of rock that I spotted on a beach and brought home.
The rock's about one inch tall by two-and-a-half inches wide.
So interesting. I would want to hold it in my hand and play with its undulations and somehow be in touch with its long and tortured history.

a super macro , given the size of the object and the black background really showcases the textures and shapes . To my eye it has the look of a discarded piece of chewing gum (teeth marks on the right hand side). I also see @mv_wolfie Mariana's ear, which is probably a nicer thought than chewing gum !
Nicely done as usual Alison

Interesting find. The more you look at it, the more you see in it!

Looks like an archeological find and a big one too. Splendid macro capture of it.

It almost looks like a sculpture of a dragon's head.

Fab light on this. Lovely shapes in it, I can see lots of bony fingers, it's like a hand with wandering fingers. Lots to see in this. What a good Job you have made of this. Fav

Excellent isolation, with great light to bring out the texture. As a still life this is really well done. Lovely work.
