Abstract interpretation

This is based on a wooden panel I spotted whilst out and about. Someone had placed objects on it in order to spray paint them which left these residues.
Neat, shadowy abstract

Love all the different directions of the lines.

What a unique abstract - and love the textures within it. Such curious random tones.

@phil_howcroft Thank you, Phil. Cave paintings? Would I be right in thinking that you watched 'How Art Began' on Saturday?
This was taken on Sunday and the resemblance to the hand stencils was my first thought when I spotted the panel, although here the effect was incidental. :)

@dulciknit Alison, I didn't watch the programme !!! Maybe my eye is fine tuned to your art after all these years πŸ˜€πŸ“ΈπŸ“·

Well spotted. Very random shapes, quite a different effect from your usual structure. Lovely tones, nice contrast of dark and softness.

Well observed!

Interesting impact here. I get more from the background texture than from the shapes. But, yes, it does look like cave impressions. Like the early hand shapes found in Neanderthal cave renderings.
