Intriguing angel

Lester and I took a break during our journey to Lincolnshire and stopped at Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire.This is one of a series of beautiful little carvings on the choir stalls in All Saints church. I loved this one; the angel's playing a medieval instrument called a portative organ, a favourite of mine. They are still made today but the market is a very limited one and the cost reflects this.
