You'd never guess from this shot just how gloriously sunny it's been today. There was also quite a haze over the landscape, which has probably caused the slightly unreal quality to this shot. I sharpened it a bit and did some other bits and pieces to the light in it, which has probably also contributed to the effect. It reminds me a bit of one of those limited palette illustrations you used to get in some children's picture books.
Lester and I hadn't been to the Downs for quite a while and it was an ideal choice for an outing today to get some fresh air.
We went to a party (I think I mentioned it earlier in the week) this evening and had to tune instruments and make ourselves beautiful in preparation, so didn't have time for any lengthy excursions.
