Blocked knitted lace sample

A small lace knitting sample on the blocking wires for stretching. The gingham fabric is to help keep the lines straight and is folded over the foam tile. Those are special blocking pins.
Probably best seen on large view for detail.
@janturnbull , @mercuria. It's not a very good shot, I'm afraid, but it's easier than trying to describe the process and I think it makes it fairly clear? Hope so.

Yes - I get it now - thanks for the clarification!

(Btw the gingham is the colour of my primary school uniform all those years ago, funny to see that again in so different a context.)

Oh, wow - that must take quite a bit of patient work - it's quite delicate looking.

So beautiful! I'd be all thumbs with yarn that fine!

Is that actually knitting? Or does it have another name?

@janturnbull Just lace knitting. Lace knitting's where you do yarn overs, K2 togs and all that stuff on one row, then plain knit the next. There's also knitted lace - you do the fancy stuff on all the rows in that.
