this guy showed up in my pond the other morning....i have never seen him before and have no clue as to what he is called....he only graces me in the early morning for about a half hour then moves on for the remainder of the day~~~>~~~>~~~>~
I hope a bird expert can identify him for you. I love the way he is framed by the grasses. I can't tell --does he have long legs or talons? How tall would you estimate him to be?
he is about the size of a duck...short legs...his beak is somewhat curved....tried googling him but came up with nothing i could compare him to.....i have an aquaintence who is an avid bird watcher...i was planning on e-mailing the photo to see if he could give me a name. :)
