Another one for my get pushed challenge. A black and white selfie with a fine art quality to it.
My dates are a bit off but the challenge was issued a little late in a week where I was falling behind anyway and it's way too much fun.
Edie, I am so impressed by your amazing selfies. This is lovely! You are lovely! (Charlie is very cute, too.) How did you achieve the lighting? It's perfect.
You are doing some super selfies this week, lady. This is another awesome one. Love the light! I think that I am begging off my challenge this week and taking a break from Get Pushed.
@pflaume This is natural light from a window. Took a bit of skootching (sp?) around to get it right though. If I turned too much there were a lot of shadows. Thanks for the compliment! I am loving it and am making myself find the time but other things are suffering for it. I wouldn't be able to do a whole project like this but I think I'll finish out the week. @amandal I get it. I was starting to feel that way myself after only three weeks but I lucked out with this challenge I think. My partner and I both were busy and late coming up with challenges. Thanks for the compliment. xox @kmwilliams Thanks Kate. Having fun with the shots and the processing. I thought the dog might add a bit of random whimsy.
I missed this earlier in the week, somehow. It looks like a publicity shot for a Hollywood actress of the 50s or 60s. The way you've used the light, and with Charlie in the shot, has a more 50s feel, while the cap looks more 60s, I think.
@atooner It really is exactly that. Thanks so much Amy. @kwind Thanks Kim...it, er, had a little 'help' @northy You are now responsible for my first bokeh comment and my first ever 'elegant' Thank you @httpgeffed :)
Fabulous! and perfect framing for both of you, also the light is great! I suspect the good old daylight which I never see anymore :) Elegant is the word but also a bit mischievous a la Gavroche especilly with that hat. LOve it!
