Today started at 1am when the alarm went off so that my husband and I could give our little man his medicine in order to keep his temperature under control. Unfortunately, he had a hard time falling back asleep and got sick. The rest of the night included a lot of tossing and turning from all three of us. We got up in the morning and tried to entertain him so that he would rest. It worked for a while until he just had enough. He ran to the front door and started chanting “outside…outside…outside”. Since we did not respond, he grabbed my sneakers and brought them over to me. When I did we tried to wrangle him back on to the couch, he escaped and grabbed his bike helmet followed by more chants of “outside…outside…outside”. We finally caved and took him on a bike ride and then to lunch on the beach. While eating lunch, there were about 6 or 7 of these beautiful butterflies that kept landing on the flowers near our table. I took a few quick photos, and then we were headed back to the condo for nap time. Unfortunately, by the time we got back, our son’s fever had returned and hit 102.8. He was pretty much inconsolable and just kept crying and saying “eeeeeeeeee”. I cuddled him until my poor little man fell asleep.
My husband, son and I just got back from 10 wonderful days on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina, so I am playing catch up on editing and uploading my photos from the trip.
beautiful butterfly - when my daughter had all those temperatures I used to give her iced lollipops sitting in the bath filled with a few inches of cool water - a cool bath, not cold
Great photo...beautiful butterfly
