Today is day four without power and day three at the 'Bed and Breakfast'. That is mine and my husband's new name for my parents' house since we not only have a warm place to stay but they are spoiling us with dinner every night too. It is a good thing too because in four days, our town has gone from 100% of households without power to 93% without power. When you drive around town, it does not look like any progress was made in the last few days clearing the trees or addressing all of the downed power lines. I have made the conscious decision to not let this bother me because really, I can't do anything about it. Today, I went into work while my husband stayed home with our son. They moved a lot of trees, so when I got home, my son was showing me what he and Daddy were doing today. It was cute too see how he liked to help.
Cute! It's good to hear you're fine, but it must be a big trouble not to have power in such a large portion f the country. I hope it can be solved soon...
@egad No she hasn't... Have you? She is staffing an emergency center as well and has her children with her because the school is closed... It's a mess! Thanks for asking :)
good luck with(out) your power.. its a wee adventure.
