Coastal Sunset

So fun to see who prefers BnW and why! I have to go see what next weeks subject for the Flash of Red is. Landscape for me, this week, I’ve preferred in color, like most. Happy weekend! Thank you for your comments and ideas! Greatly appreciate all. Will have to work on responding better, sorry, with the computer I’ve been having problems doing so. Will work on it!
Also beautiful :)

Well, as you probably know I usually prefer b/w for its attention to shape and form. However, in this case I like the color for its capturing the tone and peaceful feeling of a nice day's end. Beautiful! xo

I have enjoyed the landscapes but they are hard, aren’t they? I guess that’s the whole point, it’s a learning curve for me, for sure. This is beautiful!

Beautiful colours. Has every property it’s own staircase to have access to the beach?

It's so fun to see your color-vs.-B&W images. I typically like the B&W version, but not in this case. The color of the sun on the grasses in the foreground is astounding.

@jacqbb No - these are public stair cases - the houses used to be bungalows but in the past 15 years - they've all been remodeled to 2 story mini-mansions - but they all walk down from the gentle slope of houses to meet at the beach cliffs to enjoy their neighbors with some of them playing instruments and having wine - there are tourists here too - most of the homes that line the street that runs along the cliff and is directly looking out at the water, are empty! They are now owned by out of towners (some even out of country) and rented out as vacation rentals. I rarely see anyone here - but the street and bluffs have two sets of stairs at this spot - to walk down and check the tide pools, kayakers launch and come back in etc. Fortunately, the beaches are not privately held here. :-)
