I love that you were there with your camera to catch such a nice father-son moment...and a step toward growing up for your boy! (Is your husband as exceedingly tall as he looks here?)
I laughed when you wrote that "being lazy is what 'vacations' are for"...I'd agree, but we're here for four months! Can't get away with that all the time! Can't believe I'm comfortable enough with everyone here that I can be seen sitting around in my pjs and lazing...but that pretty much summed up my day! Today I'm back out on the waking trail and trying to return to being a normal day... It's okay to have "one day of vacation"...
I love this picture - and you've inpsired me to try to get some shots when my boys are helping my hubs with DIY projects. Your husband does look very tall. My older son (14) is so tall he is the same height as his Dad now!
Louise and Helen: Yes, your observation is correct. Michael is 6ft 10" tall - which means that he has to stoop to get through a normal door. It's an interesting size. Very convenient when we are painting a room ... no ladders required ... but a disability when trying to fly long-haul.
Interesting info, Eleanor. Our son-in-law is 6'4" and towers over the family, so I can imagine your hubby makes quite an entrance when he comes into a room! Sort of sucky about living in a "no-fly zone" though... we'll just have to come over there to meet *you*!
