You would think that this picture was very busy with all the houses, but somehow it isn't. Perhaps, I was drawn to the rail line snaking along the shore that makes me not see the houses.
Kalk Bay is a stunning place. A friend of ours lives there and we stayed the last time we were in SA. Bought fish straight off the boat one morning for dinner that night. Such a treat. Such freshness.
I love how you take the time to go places we tourists would like to see to share the views we'd want to photograph! This looks lovely...your description sounding a bit like here in Lunenburg, but we had no surf.
