Last day of cricket for the Under 11 teams. Next week they start year-end exams and then it's the long summer holidays. When they come back to school next year they will be Under 12s. New coaches, new team selections.
I helped with teas for the players and spectators. We serve from the tuck shop, which is full of wonderful notices. The ubiquitous 'slushy' machine proclaims that 'no fruit was harmed in the making of this Frosty Fred', and over the washing up sink a number of quotes are posted, guaranteed to make a mother smile.
The best, however, was the pricing policy: "Prices subject to change depending on customer's attitude".
