091 Woolly Priest by elizabeth

091 Woolly Priest

In Sheffield United colours this knitted doll belonged to one of the first English women priests. When she died I was given a lot of her liturgical materials and this cute wee lassie.
she is indeed a cute wee lassie - what a wonderful keepsake

What a little treasure this was that came to be yours! Suits you, I'd say...and a nice portrait you did of her as well!

oh I love her she reminds me of my knitted 'berty germ' (dont ask) I couldnt be parted with till I was pretty much a teenager. I love her hat and her collar (which incidently mum used to make for dad out of washed bleach bottles- hes a presbyterian minister- back before recycling was trendy)

Are you now obliged to support the team as well?

Sheffield United...no; apparently red and white are the Ulster Rugby Team colours.....so maybe the Woolly Priest could be a rugby supporter?
