Wow. This is what you will never see in Suburbia, USA. And Elizabeth, I bet you see this everywhere in your parts. Lovely.

Lovely, Elizabeth, and sobering...

I took a peak at your blog.
What a beautiful place. I didn't know Alan (of course not) but may he rest in peace. Maybe, his family and friends find peace knowing that he has a "room with a view" over the lake.

Elizabeth, saw your comment about this on my Album.

Very nice. God Bless, for you and your friend.

married last Tuesday and buried today??? that is so sad. Incomprehensible. When i first saw the pic I was going to comment on the fact that I was getting a tour of Ireland without ever actually being there, simply by looking at your pics. But this is so sad.

Elizabeth, I read about your friend here and on FB - and posted a photo for you today. E-hugs to you, and peace and prayers for your friend's family.

I can't take it in as well...and as you said it doesn't make sense if it were a few days or many years, it's still a loss. Oddly today, I missed him so much and for no other reason except that I missed him....and couldn't get rid of that ache. I'm thinking of you as well.

So sad to have only been married a few days. What a shock. This does look like a beautiful final resting place...the lake is so serene.

Elizabeth - just read about your friend on Louise's site. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Let us hope that his last few days were happy ones - freshly married, their love celebrated by family and friends. I'm sure right now this just seems like a cruel trick, but I hope one day you and others who were close to Alan can find a small measure of consolation in these thoughts.

Thank you to all of you. It was a beautiful service and a lovely place to be laid to rest. Being together as their friends and family was helpful.
