I love advent and candles. I have to ask you about your: Why do you have five candles in your Advent Wreath? And why different colors? We always have four violet candles

@tove Four coloured for the 4 Sundays ... white central for Christmas morning (Jesus candle)
Pink for 3rd Sunday in Advent ... Gaudate Sunday ... the antiphon for the day begins "Rejoice ..." also for Mary, mother of Jesus ...

Sometimes I do just 4 red candles ....
and there's another version with 5 different colours all with symbolism of
Green = new life and growth
Red = death
Silver = wealth and betrayal
Gold = riches and materialism
White = peace and purity
