Naseby

The monument that commemorates the battle of Naseby. One of the most significant final battles of the Civil War.

So peaceful a scene, very rural. What must it have been like on 14th June 1645 when combined forces of 23,000 men went into combat.
I don't know if the tree or the memorial came first but they work wonderfully together
