Swamplands by ellida


Actually and abandoned quarry in Cleator Moor formed by iron ore mines that were started at the end of the 1870s and abandoned in the mid-1920s. The sunken protected area is popular with photographers because of the flora and insect life that abounds there.
Wonderful shot, curious how the green of the moss doesn't stand out as much in the reflection.

@gamelee good point Lee, I haven't wildly processed the image, but the water was actually black, so whether that affected the reflections ??
