My travelling companion and I enjoyed a 3 day trip following the Gambia River as it journeys East into the continent. Sometimes by road and a couple of times by boat. These little chaps were part of a large flock that rose like a cloud if anything startled them.
My friend is Swedish and calls them blodnäbbsvävare.
