Sorry if I put you off your meal, but today was fairly unremitting rain, so I rescued a flower from the garden to practice macro shots.
When I got flower inside, this little chap was clinging on to the stem. So I used my clamp (with crocodile clips) and secured the stem of the flower unaware that I had trapped one his legs. He noticed however and struggled like mad until I released him, whereupon he flew to the window blinds. And that's when I changed my mind on what to photograph.
I used a macro 35mm f2.8 with a 2x converter, then took 3 shots at different focal lengths and stacked them.
And yes, the Cranefly escaped with his life ...perhaps just a sore foot!!
