Where has the forest gone

Logs pictures in front of Great Bank in Mitredale. The Forestry Commission have been busy here too. Lots of blank spaces and log piles. Also they have placed information boards explaining that they are containing tree disease that has spread throughout the forest.

A nice tidy pile of logs. The pink flowers of the thistle stand out beautifully. Hope they stamp out the disease...good they are on to it!
