Ready for Take Off!!

Much Better Day today! Seems like ladybugs have invaded South Texas! :) This may not be my best shot but it is the first ime i have ever caught one ready for take-off nor have i ever seen what they have hiding under thier beautiful shells! And i just Love it! :)

Great capture! I was just looking at someone else's photo of lady bug larvae the other day and thought that they didn't look anything like the beetle- but seeing this shot I see the same pattern on the body as the larvae. How about that a science lesson in two easy shots!

It amazes me how a Ladybug can hide its wings under the protection of it shell and then unfurl them and fly away at a moments notice! Amazing capture Ellen!
