It was around 9.30 that I arrived and entered the "Silent City". After photographing the clock tower in Mtarfa, I went around the narrow streets of Imdina (the old capital city before Valletta was built) looking for interesting spots of light and shadow. Very few people around except in one restaurant which was still open and for a group of noisy teens disinterestingly following their guide who must have been in a hurry to take his leave of the rowdy bunch. As soon as I stepped into this small square the shadow of the tree made me stop and shoot. Later as I looked at the picture on screen I thought it resembled the tree in the middle of the famous garden of Eden.
