lamps at Sally Port by elza

lamps at Sally Port

No need to comment. Thanks for viewing. I am recovering from a bad cold but was ordered to rest and no outings:(

Taken on one of my weekly errands to Valletta. These are lamps decorating a restaurant called Sally Port due to its proximity to a gateway into the city. It used to be a rampart from which the defenders of the city could sally (thus Sally Port) against a besieging force.

The traditional wicker baskets are used to hold pots of flowers and a concealed loudspeaker for music.
This is charming. I really like the basket and repetition of the lampposts. Take it easy and hope that recover very soon.
