We took our car to a friend who also rather fortunately happens to own a garage to have the air con. regassed. It took a bit of time as the machine is brand new and seems to have the complexity of a jumbo jet with the number of buttons and dials that need adjusting. I took a wander around the place and saw these great reflections of the sky on the bonnet of a VW Polo.

My first car was an A reg Polo (A364 RYW from memory) so I have a great affection for them. Even though mine had a hole under the passengers seat (friends sat with their feet in the air on rainy days) and it often let me down (I was towed all the way to a friends wedding in Norwich... and all the way back again) I loved that car and when it finally went to the garage in the sky it was an impressive 18 ears old!
This makes a great abstract. I remember riding in a friend's old Volkswagen years ago which also had holes in the floor. It was a snowy winter day and the thing broke down entirely, a few miles from where we were going. I'll never forget how cold my feet got. Ah, memories ...
