It's getting close to Christmas so it's time for my home made mince pies. I'm not actually very fond of mince pies but Colin likes them and especially likes to take them for his friends at golf. I make mine by adding some orange zest and cinnamon to the pastry mix and an extra teaspoon of brandy to the mince meat. I don't believe in making them half filled which explains the mince 'leaks'... the spare pastry made an apricot jam pasty for me!
