Although a bit of a grab shot, this shows my amazing ‘Christmas’ tree which is now well over 30 foot high in the back garden with its new spring growth shoots.

Colin bought it for me before we were married for my flat at Christmas in 1999 - it was about a foot high then. I brought it with me in a pot when I moved to Teddington and we planted it in the back garden and since then it has obviously thrived in our soil.
I love the shot and the story behind it, Emma. Perhaps it's symbolic of the fact that you and Colin have also thrived together? BTW, thank-you for the lovely postcard from Sicily--it arrived the other day and is now on display beside the one from Venice. You are having a busy and wonderful year!

@tristansmum I was looking for this post as I remembered seeing it and could not find it! I am so glad that you are receiving the postcards as I am never convinced that I get the correct stamps even though I ask for ones for Canada (people are used to European stamps). I like to send you one from each place we visit - I do not write a lot of cards but always try to send you and my Mum one from each place!

@emmadurnford Thank-you for the postcards Emma, I'm honoured to receive them! Thought of you this evening and Wednesday evening, as I took the ferry to Centre Island both days in the late afternoon--I know you and Colin did that when you were here in order to photograph the mainland.
