13th June 2015

I had spent some time attempting a macro shot of an obscure moth on our curtain but… how could it compete with chocolate cake?!

Whenever there is a family birthday I am asked to produce a Victoria sponge cake. My specialities are coffee, chocolate, lemon or a plain jam filling. This one is a very belated one for Chris my stepson and Colin's son-in-law Ian. Both birthdays were a few months ago but between them they were either away or busy and this is the first chance that the whole family has been together.

(I now realise that I should have tidied a bit - no bananas were involved!).
This looks gorgeous Emma, and it's the second shot I've seen today that makes me long for chocolate!
