This is the Douro Valley and we are looking down onto my favourite town so far - Pinhao. This is the view from a miradour reached by a narrow winding road and luckily it was Colin driving and me squeaking beside him as cars came towards us on the wrong side of the road!
The landscape is stunning and virtually every hillside has been terraced to enable the grape vines to grow.
