20th December 2015

Colin was out this morning so I decided to finally properly site 'Bruin Bear' in the garden with some seasonal decoration. He is very heavy as he is made from a solid piece of tree and carved with a chainsaw. I also had to lug a paving stone for him to stand on so he doesn't get too damp directly on the soil. Here he is when Mum presented him to me back in June as my delayed slightly mad birthday present!

I have decided that he needs to wear seasonal outfits and so here he is in a new Santa hat and wearing a scarf which I made out of red fabric I bought during yesterdays 'Panic Saturday' in Kingston. As a finishing touch I added some battery powered fairy lights. They are not actually designed for outdoor use but I have sealed the battery pack in a plastic bag and will see how long they last. I think he looks really good.
Yes, awesome! Love him all gussied up Christmas style.

@kandkids I'm going for kitsch rather than tasteful!
