Oh dear - torrential rain and I mean torrential rain for our journey home. We enjoyed our final leisurely breakfast as I am pretty sure that I will not be enjoying smoked salmon and scrambled eggs followed by pasteis con nata (custard tarts) tomorrow morning!
The drive back to the airport became even more ‘interesting’ as the de-misting function temporarily failed in the hire car during the heaviest of the rain so for a minute of so we were totally without vision - fun. I managed to change every setting I could (Colin was concentrating on driving) and eventually it started to clear.
These are some clouds above Porto and the coast that captured on my iPhone as I had the window seat! Ironically it actually looks quite sunny down on the coast.
Beautiful cloud shots. I meant to say earlier that if Colin's sunburn is still painful, aloe vera gel can be helpful, applied and reapplied several times.
