After the shock of seeing the massacre to our tree last week, Colin decided to write to the Richmond Council tree officer for more information about how this could have happened. I think we're onto a loser and whatever the result, the tree will still be damaged at the end of it all.
We wanted photos that clearly show the extent of their work and I managed to get this one by balancing on the edges of the bath and hanging my phone out of the bathroom window on a selfie stick! Worked quite well all things considered.
Later in the day after a rush of cleaning the house I collected Mum and Ian from Twickenham station for a few days stay with us before they head off to deepest, darkest Hungary and Romania for a birding trip (I'm the early morning Heathrow taxi driver on Saturday!).
