It wasn't too early a start this morning and we had time for our last great buffet breakfast at the inn. We left just before 9.00 headed for the Penneshaw ferry back to the mainland. I have been taking sea sickness tablets for every single boat or ferry trip that we have taken and we have got through an entire box - lucky I bought two boxes! Despite that it was actually a very smooth crossing and I drove the next relatively short distance to our hotel for the next two nights in Adelaide.

As usual there was roadworks so it was a challenge to find a gas station and then the car drop off point. It was quite sad saying goodbye to our trusty Toyota Camry Eco car. It is so fuel efficient and we realised on return that we have actually driven 1,886 kms - a total of 1,172 miles since we left Melbourne last Friday.

I'm not sure what to think about Adelaide, I warmed to Melbourne straight away but with all the noise and roadworks I'm not sure. Things improved with a walk through the park in bright sun (makes a change) down to the Central Food markets. What a place and we returned later for a great pasta dinner in Lucia's with live jazz and singing afterwards.
