Our last full day in Port Douglas.

I was determined to have a swim from Four Mile beach and the water was a lot warmer than it had been in Exmouth.  The weather was actually very cloudy although still warm so we did not think to put on any sunscreen big mistake! We prove that it is possible to still get sunburnt despite there being no sun.

We headed back to the apartment to shower and change again and then wondered towards the marina for the last time.  As we passed the most well-known shop in Port Douglas for the classic Aussie pie it would've been rude not to have stopped for lunch there.  I had a seafood one and it was jam-packed with seafood to the top.  The lorikeets are still eating the right mangoes on the floor and we were able to watch at least two weddings at the small church - ‘St Mary’s by the sea’ - that is famous across Australia.

We enjoyed one last coffee and hot chocolate at 'Choo Choos' in the Marina - I never did get round to having the taster beer selection.  On the way back a final trip to our favourite Coles supermarket to stock up on an amazing meal of Black Tiger prawns, steak, mango and rice.
