19th January 2018

I had a busy afternoon as I promised that I would drop Colin off to a meeting in Twickenham but I have been planning for some time to get up town to visit the Lumiere London event.

I saw this event the very first time it arrived in 2016 and this year it was even bigger and spread over a bigger area. Fifty artists have created installations, sculptures and living art pieces which are grouped around the city by district. I walked from the West End to Mayfair via China Town, Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square. Piccadilly, St James's and Berkeley and Grosvenor Squares - almost 15,000 paces!

This is 'Child Hood' by Collectif Coin (France) in Trafalgar Square reflected in the fountain pools. The 'lights' turn on and off in time to music... here are some more images from my walk and I am planning to return tomorrow - https://www.facebook.com/pg/EmmaDurnfordPhotography/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1723233824395958
