Yum - this is my welcome home cake for Colin. I’m collecting him later today from Gatwick. The week and a bit has gone quickly and I have managed to get all the cards made up that was my target before he left. After the baking I set to to finish the cleaning that I started yesterday and I am sure I must have burnt a lot of calories vacuuming from bottom to top of the house, dusting and cleaning two bathrooms!
I set off to collect Colin a about 5.30pm and as I set the Satnav the journey time increased from an hour to an hour and 45 minutes. I seemed to take the most circuitous rate around Surrey and Kent and arrived with just a few minutes before Colin walked through the arrivals gate and spotted my special ‘welcome home’ balloon!
