18th September 2018

Our final day in Spain and we had planned a morning swim but this was rather curtailed by a massive electrical storm which was not the safest of conditions. We settled for a leak surely packing session after breakfast and a walk above the beach, gecko spotting those drying themselves off on the concrete blocks of the wall.

We were still worried about the car so we eventually set off to the airport an hour or so early. Apart from not finding a petrol station it was an easy journey and unlike our arrival, the drop off was so much easier with no problem. The fuel efficiency of the Polo was proven as we managed quite a few journeys after filling up on arrival in Tarragona but the petrol gauge still read as full!

Everything went rather downhill from this point - our flight was delayed by nearly two hours and as we were there an hour earlier than the advised two hour check in, we were actually waiting for over five hours... which explains the photo of Colin in a Burger King crown as he waited for me to return with our classy meal - I was late back as one of our meals had been taken by someone else!

It was quite a relief to be back in the UK and on the train home - Washington was pleased to see us!
