16th October 2018

What a busy day. I started with a run around Bushy Park as part of my weekly training to improve my run times on Saturday by interval training whilst avoiding the stags which are now towards the end of their rut.

A quick shower and then it was over to East Sheen for my optician appointment. It was very comprehensive and I was pleased to find my eye health is very good and my prescription has only changed a little. I ordered a new pair of glasses which were made then and there in the shop. Colin has now got a letter for Benenden as he needs his cataracts sorted out which is daunting but I think in the long run he will feel much better.

We then headed back to Kingston so I could check out a specialist shop for cutlery for my photo club and Colin invested in a Digital turntable that he can play his old vinyl LPs on but via his bluetooth speakers - very technical! It took us some time to figure out how to pair it with the various bluetooth speakers but we succeeded eventually. I also discovered that my new glasses whilst excellent for reading are no good for my computer work so I have to decide what I want to do… rather disappointing although I think they make me look very studious.
