After last nights scare with my blood pressure we delayed our trip up town to the travel show and sought another pharmacist to test my blood pressure. Surprise surprise it was considerably lower and almost normal on the second attempt. The pharmacist was very nice and talked me though issues. He is not overly worried but I have decided to invest in a home blood pressure monitor so I can check my self. If there are any more high readings I’ll book a doctors appointment.

After all of this and walking up and down the High Street in cold sleet (the thick snow did not materialise as I guessed) we eventually caught the train to Wimbledon to go to the Destinations show. It is still bad in Cornwall though and Mum and Ian’s flight down from Inverness to Bristol was cancelled with another flight not until Sunday. I am really sorry but quietly a little relieved as I know they would have attempted the drive had they been able to get down to Bristol.

The show was good as usual and we managed to sit in on one of the very popular lecture all about Costa Rica. This woman was sat opposite us on the tube there and clearly the excitement of the non existent snow had taken it out of her!
