30th November 2019

Exciting today. For the first time I have a stall at the Orleans House Christmas Shopping weekend event. I was a late applicant thanks to being asked by the lady running it as she thought my cards and prints would fit in well with the other stallholders. I had already sorted out my stall for the disastrous Playwam event the previous week so I was all ready. The event wasn’t set to start until 12.00 midday but as we were worried about parking, we got there at 10.00am and had no problem getting a space.

My stall was located in the foyer and so in a good portions as visitors had to pass by to enter the main Octagon room so I could nit be missed! I sold some cards within the first half and hour and the day continued well. I am paying £50 or each day (here tomorrow as well) and I was really pleased that by the time the event closed five hours later, I had not only broken even after these expenses but I had also made a healthy profit. That takes the stress off of tomorrow and I really enjoyed the day. It was well organised and there are some lovely people working there. The only negative was that as I was near the door it so its a bit chilly so I am losing the arty outfit and wearing my thick jumper and thermals tomorrow!
