This morning I finished packing and delivered the greeting cards to Julia. She gave ma a little parcel which I strongly suspect contains some of her excellent Belgian truffles along with a card for my birthday, both of which I have packed to take with me.
Later in the day I met Colin from the Doctors and we booked the taxi for tomorrow to the station. It is literally less than ten minutes but last time it was a stressful job towing two suitcases all the way through the muddy lane so this will start our journey off nicely.
I managed to clean out Sydney this evening as well and he really was not happy. Who believes me when I say that hamsters really can have moods and he will turn his back on me when he’s eating to show he’s cross - yes really.
Packing all finished… I can never get to bed early and it’s not a bad time for a start.
Finally this is a glass of a good Spanish wine to raise a toast to my Dad who very sadly passed away this time sixteen years ago in 2004. I cannot believe it is really this long. Here’s to you Dad XX
Positive - a lovely gift from Julia for my birthday
