Day 113 of semi lock down

It was a beautiful day today in Cornwall so after lunch we headed to North coast which is only about 20 minutes away for a walk on South West Coast Path from remains of the Botallack tin mine.

Despite it now being mid July, I was really surprised to see the number of flowers still in bloom and numerous butterflies. They were stunning and we even saw a six spot burnett moth. It was a lovely walk although Mum had a bit of a stumble whilst attempting a jump across a ditch and I think in my attempt to stop her falling I may have damaged my wrist a little bit although I didn't say anything.

In the evening Colin prepared what appeared to be an entire shoal of mackerel that the chap next door had line-caught in St Mounts bay. We simply dry-fred them in some oatmeal and flour and they were delicious along with some home-made gooseberry sauce using fruit from the allotment. There was a massive pile of fish and Mum and I were thinking of what to do with the uneaten ones. Needless to say this was not a worry as there were in fact absolutely none left by the end of our meal! It was a lovely day and I think I caught the sun as well.
