8th August 2020

Day 136 of semi lock down.

Colin has been obsessing about attempting another visit to Lidl. We visited the new store two days into lock down and although the store was great towards the end of our visit, the people were not (no self isolating etc.). We got up early and arrived around 8.00am, this time with the car. What a difference - all but one person wearing face masks and a great selection of food. We managed to spend over £90!

After unpacking the shopping I had my delayed breakfast and then headed over to the Landmark Centre. They are having a series of three weekend art salons which you have to book online tickets for. It was so nice to wander around the building and chat to some of the artists on duty there. One of my framed montages is also on display so fingers crossed that it will sell.

It was so hot today - heading for the 30’s. I managed to sell the very old joysticks via Gumtree today and later we had a BBQ with some of our spoils from Lidl including chickens thighs a a delicious leg of lamb which I made fresh mint sauce to go with - Mmmm!
