31st August 2020

Day 159 of semi lock down.

Today is officially the last day of summer and although we have had some amazing weather, somehow I feel the year is slipping away with months in lock down and now restrictions and mask wearing. Everything feels strange.

Despite is being Bank Holiday Monday, we knew it would be busy wherever we tried to go out to so I stayed in and Colin went to golf. I bit the bullet and finally sorted out my Christmas cards ready for long sessions of making them up. I have quite a few left from last ye ar due to Waterstones in Kingston and other disasters (I thought 2019 was bad - I wasn’t prepared for 2020!). Only 700-800 to make up which is really not as bad as previous years.

This is the stack of mounts and backings that I will have to use to make up the first Batch of 25 Twickenham montages if my meeting goes well next week. Watch this space…

41,501 PHE total dead in the UK (up 2). Deaths are only counted if Covid 19 has been diagnosed within 28 days of death - no later which is little bizarre as often people can be on life support for weeks before they pass away so they will now not be counted!.
