6th September 2020

Day 165 of semi lock down.

It was so warm today that I wished I had worn my shorts rather than jeans. We braved Teddington footbridge and walked along the tow path to Ham House where we caught the Hammerton’s ferry (I had photographed only a couple of weeks ago) across the river to Marble Hill House. Some time ago I had spotted on Twitter that there was going to be live Tango music and dancing from 2-3.00pm. We managed to find quiet spot distanced from others and enjoyed an hour of entertainment in the warm sun. It was lovely being out with other people albeit socially distanced. I had bought a few things out of the fridge for a picnic lunch but I felt I had out us down as others had bought mini champagne bottles and we just had chicken and salad in an old Chinese container!

Afterwards we popped into Orleans House mainly for the ‘facilities’ but in the event we stopped for a tub of ice cream as well to enjoy the autumn sun. We then walked to catch the bus on the main road back to Teddington.
