22nd October 2020

Day 211 of semi lock down.

Oh dear. We dragged ourselves out of a lovely warm bed this morning with the full intention of heading over to Bushy Park - we didn’t go on Tuesday.

As we headed towards the garden gate, Colin decided to open the garage to air it out a bit and check for leaks. Oh dear, there was absolutely no power at all and we have a freezer and fridge in there. We started to rush around and the first thing Colin did ws to run a cable through the window of the house and down to the garage to provide pawer to the freezer, when we heard it click on I braved to open it and luckily we could see that it was all still frozen so the power can only have been off for a few hours at the very worse.

Needless to say the urgency of trying to find the issue of why the power had gone off stopped us going for a run… always a silver lining!

We spent the rest of the day trying to figure out what had happened to a system that has lasted very well for almost 40 years. We did not find the problem and worryingly not a single fuse had been tripped. The entire system is dead. This is causing a massive headache and a lot of stress for the rest of the say which resulted in me

44,347 PHE deaths in the UK as of today - the figures are starting to shoot up again as we come into the colder part of the year.
