5th February 2021

Day 324 since the start of the 1st lock down.

Inspecting my handiwork on the ceiling today o noticed a few patches I had missed so before getting ready I hand painted them in and now it is looking pretty good and much brighter.

Colin headed out to meet with Karen over her way for his daily exercise and I visited the carpet shop to collect samples to try with my new colour scheme. It was all above board as we distanced and wore masks. We did consider getter the same carpet as we already have downstairs but as the correct width is not in stock we are going for a slightly different carpet which apparently is cheaper per meter square.

I spotted these lovely crocuses near Elmfield House on my walk home.

Being determined to try and sell the bookcases and because they are so difficult to work around, I reduced them a bit more and contacted someone who had expressed an interest in buying a couple of them. I hadn’t realised how heavy the shelves were but between us on Colin’s return we managed to get them down the stairs and by 8.00pm we were twenty pounds better off and the room is much cleaner - result!
