15th February 2021

Day 334 since the start of the 1st lock down.

I’m nearing the end of the decorating now. Today there was not too much to do - I painted the second coat on the decorative squares on the door and the first coat on the radiator which is a definite improvement.

I caught up with Mum in the afternoon which was nice but we did not have that much news to catch up on as we have not been out due to the continued lock-down which is definitely dragging now.

One fun thing I did today which I have been thinking about for a long time was to spend £90 and buy a ‘mud larking permit’ from the Port of London Authority. Although I have been thinking of this for ages, it took the impetus of my friend Sarah to purchase hers that encouraged me to buy mine. Once we are out of lock down we are heading up town to look for finds by the Thames - old pipes, bottles and maybe Tudor treasure!

Last thing in the day I was meant to be going to bed but could not wait to take the tape off the squares on the door. I was really pleased that the rollering has been successful and the squares are pretty clean edged. The mirror is looking good as well.
