5th May 2021

1 year, 40 days since the start of the 1st lock down in March 2020

Colin was at golf this morning and I made myself go to Bushy Park for the second run of the week. I really did not feel like it so I decided to take a slightly shorter route and so just did 3.5kms. I achieved the 10,000 footsteps by walking over the bridge to try and get Colin a magazine guide to his watch but sadly WH Smiths did not have anything of use.

At lunch time I finally received the figures from the new House Manager at Fulwell golf course. I was very shocked to see the price per head has increased from £15 to £25. I was really annoyed and emailed to see if anything can be done but unhelpfully that’s the best he can do. I need to discuss with our President about what to do and whether the club can subsidise the costs at all.

To cheer myself up we revisited a trip to the Alentejo district of Portugal which could be taking the place of Switzerland in June which is looking less and less likely to happen. Apparently we will have a traffic light system for travel and most importantly those on the green list by the end of the week and initially there will be very few on the green list but Portugal might just make it in.
